Fired Results from “Shino First…Really?” Post

I fired the three yunomi that where in my last post, I thought it would be good to follow-up with the final results to close the circle. They were fired to ∆10 (2345F) in reduction in my small gas updraft kiln.

  1. Anshu Dorairaj says:

Beautiful…Presumably u glazed the insides only in Shino…
    Lovely effect…do u think this would work in a cone 5/6 kiln too…about 1200 C.
Would be delighted if you could share your shino recipe…have been struggling to create one…the pci on my Fb profile has my shino like teapot…

  2. What do you use for the liner/inside glaze?

  3. So the shino does not crawl if used alone on the inside as a liner? as long as there is nothing underneath of it?
